Hello! thanks for visiting my website. I'm Aditi and I'm excited to share my work and story with you. I'm currently working as a product manager on the CONNECTED DRIVER TEAM AT SAMSARA.
BACKGROUND
Ever since I was a child I have been constantly building and tinkering with Legos, Arduino, and taking apart things to see how they work. I studied Mechanical Engineering at Cornell University and then worked at Procter & Gamble - Gillette as a Machine Designer and Product Designer.
While at Gillette, I quickly realized that to make a bigger impact I needed to expand my skill set and learn about the end-to-end process of conceptualizing and successfully bringing a product to market. I spent two years pursuing my MBA at The Wharton School honing my skills in marketing, finance, and other business functions through the rigorous and analytical curriculum and obtained majors in Entrepreneurial Management and Operations Management.
While at Wharton, I realized that product management was the key to combining my technical and business knowledge. I found a PM internship at Canary, an IoT startup focused on home security devices and confirmed this was the right path for me. I then focused my full time search on PM opportunities in the tech industry and landed at Microsoft on the .NET & Visual Studio team. After a year, I sought to combine my passions for the IoT industry with my work, and switched roles to the Azure IoT team.
Design Thinking
At Wharton, I was co-President of the Innovation & Design Club. I spent much of my spare time there pursuing my passion for creativity. I participated in and won the Penn Design Challenge, taught Design Thinking workshops, acted as TA for a Design Thinking class, and hosted Arduino prototyping sessions to build a community of innovation.
Samsara
At Samsara, I’m currently working in the Fleet Management business unit as a member of the Connected Driver team. I focus on building out new compliance products for the Canadian market, one of the newer and developing markets that the company has entered. I’m enjoying being at a smaller company and can’t wait to see it grow!
MICROSOFT
At Microsoft, I was leading the charge trying to unlock the healthcare IoT industry as part of the Azure IoT Central team. As the owner of the Healthcare IoT space, I spent 2019 researching and understanding the industry, selecting key scenario opportunities, finding partners and customers as co-development partners, and developing and launching a solution template focused on Continuous Patient Monitoring.
INTERESTS
My desire to be creative expands beyond my work and academic activities and into my hobbies. I have sung in different a cappella groups (The Callbaxx, Tarana, Boston Accent, Seatown Sound) for 14 years, played piano for 26 years, and enjoy drawing and painting in my spare time.
I currently am exploring new hikes and outdoor activities around my new home in the Bay area, and am continuing to practice music in my spare time.
